Frequently Asked Questions

Who can order medical certificates, treatments, or access Online GP services?

Any resident of Ireland can use our services. You can order medical certificates for work, study, or travel, prescriptions for the treatment of illnesses, and consult a GP online for general health concerns.

Accepted ID proofs include a valid passport or Irish driving license. If you do not have either, please contact our support team at support@gethealthcare.ie for assistance.

Non-Irish residents can use our services for treatment and medical certificates related to travel purposes. However, GP consultations are primarily offered to Irish residents.

Yes, children can access Online GP consultations or apply for certificates, but all applications must be completed under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

What is the turnaround time for certificates or prescriptions?

Each service has its own timeline. Standard services typically take up to 24 hours, while express services aim to deliver within 4 hours. The cost varies based on the chosen service type, so please review the timelines and pricing before purchasing.

Delays can occur due to the following reasons:

  • Incomplete or Incorrect Details: If the information in your application is missing or incorrect, it may require clarification, delaying the process.
  • Outside Working Hours: Orders placed outside our working hours (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm, and Saturday to Sunday, 8 am to 2 pm) will be processed the next working day.
  • High Volume of Requests: During peak times, services are handled in chronological order, which may cause minor delays.
  • Doctor’s Review Requirements: Additional review or clarification may be needed for certain applications, which can extend the processing time.
  • Technical Issues: Rarely, delays can happen due to email or system issues. If you suspect this, please contact support@gethealthcare.ie.

To avoid delays, ensure your application is complete and accurate. If you believe your order is taking too long, email us at support@gethealthcare.ie for an update.

Yes, processing times depend on our working hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm, and Saturday to Sunday, 8 am to 2 pm. Services ordered outside these hours may not start processing until the next working day. While doctors may occasionally work outside hours for urgent cases, this is not guaranteed.

You will receive an email notification and a WhatsApp message (if your provided number is on WhatsApp) once your service is fulfilled. These messages will also include details of your application form, allowing you to verify your information.

Services are processed in chronological order. If you need an expedited service, email us at support@gethealthcare.ie. Our team will inform you if accommodating your request is possible within the required timeframe.

Are the certificates valid for all employers in Ireland?

Yes, our medical certificates are widely accepted by employers in Ireland, provided they meet the employer’s internal policies. Certificates issued follow industry-standard formats and include all necessary details for validity.

Absolutely. All certificates are issued by Irish-registered doctors in compliance with HSE and Irish medical standards, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.

The validity of a certificate depends on its purpose. For instance, sick certificates are typically valid for the duration specified by the doctor based on the patient’s condition, while fitness-to-work or pre-employment certificates are valid as determined by the employer or organization requesting them.

Yes, travel-related medical certificates can often be used outside Ireland, depending on the requirements of the destination country. However, it is advisable to verify acceptance with the relevant authorities before use.

How can I request to cancel my service order?

Cancellation requests can only be made via email to support@gethealthcare.ie. Include your full name, the service purchased, the date and time of the purchase, and the reason for your request.

Refunds are not provided if a certificate or prescription is rejected after the doctor has reviewed your case. The service fee covers the review and professional time spent.

If the doctor has started reviewing your application or requested additional details, cancellations are no longer permitted. Similarly, if the service (e.g., a certificate or prescription) has already been issued, cancellations cannot be processed.

No additional cancellation fees apply, but eligibility for a refund depends on the service type and timing of your request:

    • Standard Services: Cancel within 4 hours of purchase (or within 4 hours of the next working day if ordered outside working hours).
    • Express Services: Cancel within 1 hour of purchase (or within 1 hour of the next working day if ordered outside working hours).

Please note that if the doctor has reviewed your case or issued the service, the right to cancel is no longer applicable.

What changes can be made to a medical certificate after issuance?

No changes are allowed once a certificate has been issued. Doctors allocate their professional time to review cases, and once a service is completed, any changes require a fresh service request.

Yes, but only before the certificate is issued. If you realize there is an error, email us promptly at support@gethealthcare.ie. After issuance, no changes will be entertained. We stress checking your application details in the email and WhatsApp confirmation sent after order placement.

Pharmacy details cannot be updated after the prescription has been delivered. If there is an error on the doctor’s part, corrections may be made to ensure accurate treatment. For other requests, you can email us at support@gethealthcare.ie, but changes are at the doctor’s discretion.

Changes to issued documents are not permitted. If a fresh service is required due to incorrect details, the new service must be paid for accordingly.

Genuine change requests are reviewed in the same way as new orders. They are placed in a queue, assigned to a doctor, and processed in chronological order. The time required depends on the volume of active cases.

Can I modify my application after submission?

Yes, modifications can be made by emailing us at support@gethealthcare.ie before the service is issued. Promptly notify us of any changes to avoid delays.

If there is an error in your personal details, email support@gethealthcare.ie. If you do not receive an order confirmation email, contact us with the correct email address to resolve the issue.

Service type changes can be requested through our live chat or by emailing support@gethealthcare.ie. Any cost difference must be paid before processing the change. Changes must be requested before the service is delivered.

Yes, email us with the updated pharmacy details. If the prescription has already been sent, we will contact the earlier pharmacy to ensure the medication is not dispensed. If the earlier pharmacy does not acknowledge, we may need to delay sending the prescription to a new pharmacy.
